I was sexually assaulted. The man who did that to me was picked up by the police and confessed. At least he looked like a man and they were able to identify him as a man. Twenty years later, I am still affected by this sexual assault. I am glad that the pap smear exam I just had was with a female doctor. I still needed to have a friend go with me and hold my hand. I need to know that I can easily have access to bathrooms at least where there are only actual females inside the bathrooms. But when I am using public bathrooms, I need to be able to know that only women are in there. It is hard enough to have a female doctor do a pap smear much less have to worry about whether a "trans" man is going to be in a restroom with me! I need to be able to use public restroom in peace!
