I recently contacted a counselling charity that claims to be for women only, but the application form included a question on a potential client being transgender (A "trans woman") and defined femaleness as being a "gender identity". I was very distressed and in tears. I realised that the service is not something I can claim and participate in because it is not for women. I feel that the women providing the service are prioritising men over women, and the fact that they do not disclose that they are male-inclusive on their website is highly deceptive, unprofessional and improper. I had counselling with them a few years ago with no policy of male-inclusion so this is a recent development.
